We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our client's team. This role involves taking functional requirements from the business and developing them into robust Power BI solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing bespoke creations and transforming them into reusable components, aiming to create modular Power BI solutions. Additionally, the developer will use DAX Optimizer to identify bottlenecks in dashboards and integrate large datasets using Python and PySpark. Strong SQL skills are essential for querying and manipulating data from various sources, and the developer will leverage GitHub to manage and reuse BI code effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Develop Power BI solutions based on business requirements.
• Review and transform bespoke creations into reusable components.
• Use DAX Optimizer to identify and resolve bottlenecks in dashboards.
• Integrate and process large datasets using Python and PySpark.
• Query and manipulate data from various sources using strong SQL skills.
• Manage and reuse BI code effectively using GitHub
Must haves
• 8-10+ years of Power BI development experience
• Excellent SQL skills, including pulling data from Databricks
• Basic Python skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Plusses
• Experience with Power BI version control and uploading dashboards into GitHub
• Proficiency in using DAX Optimizer or Tableau Editor
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake
• Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Certification in Power BI or related technologies
