Job Description

Salisbury Moore Construction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to provide on-site leadership and technical expertise for our commercial construction projects. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring project progress, guiding job site personnel, and ensuring the successful transformation of contracts into high-quality finished projects that meet or exceed client expectations, are on or below budget, and adhere to contract guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• On-site supervision of daily construction activities.
• Coordinate manpower and subcontractors.
• Master project specs and assume site responsibility.
• Generate daily field reports and weekly look-aheads.
• Manage job site setup, safety, and documentation (OSHA).
• Track hours, supplies, and report discrepancies.
• Review plans/orders, resolve issues, and provide shop drawing input.
• Serve as primary on-site contact.
• Obtain permits, schedule inspections, and secure daily needs.
• Enforce quality and schedule adherence for all teams.
• Complete sub/vendor evaluations and administer contracts.
• Ensure timely/accurate paperwork and stay within budget.
• Identify/correct inefficiencies and job hazards.
• Assist with pay requests and attend meetings.
• Enforce change order protocols and company rules.
• Evaluate/develop field personnel.
• Emphasize quality, minimize rework, and represent company image.
• Conduct daily briefings and submit expense reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License required.
• 8+ years as a Field Superintendent.
• In-depth, current construction expertise.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Positive and diplomatic communication style.
• Computer literate and tech-savvy.
• Procore proficiency is a strong asset.
• Proven success managing $1.5M - $3M construction projects.
